The retina acts as the primary stage for encoding of visual stimuli in central nervous system. It is comprised numerous functionally distinct cells tuned to particular types stimuli. This work presents an analytical approach identifying contrast-driven retinal cells. Machine learning approaches well traditional regression models are used represent input-output behaviour ganglion findings this demonstrate that it possible separate based on how they respond changes mean contrast upon presentation single images. separation allows us identify likely have good model performance a computationally inexpensive way.
